7 FIRST FLUSH TEA SAMPLE PACK 2023 | FIRST PRODUCTION OF DARJEELING

We have introduced the first production of 2023 First Flush teas of Darjeeling in a special new sample pack combo that varies in texture, aroma, and flavor from Gopaldhara. This is a great way to explore different teas from the usual daily favorites, and perhaps even find a new favorite.

1. Gopaldhara Premium First Flush – This is an early harvested first flush tea from the Darjeeling region of India. The tea is famous for its lively ‘bite’ and an abundance of fresh flavor. This tea is a spirited embodiment of these qualities. It can be well-defined as clean with a delicate crispness. The Premium First Flush tea has a clean finish and a very mellow aftertaste.
2. Gopaldhara Flowery Orange Pekoe – This regular first flush black tea has been made in late April. It has fine, blackish green leaves with few tips which brew into a transparent yellow cup. The tea has an abundance of fresh high mountain spring flavor and is mildly sweet with some pleasing astringency. The aftertaste is very strong and reminiscent of mountain Darjeeling Teas.
3. Rohini (RTD-03) Moonlight White Oolong -This Darjeeling white oolong tea has a well-layered delicate flavor profile with a natural sweetness. This whole-leaf tea appears olive green in color with lots of silver buds. It has a full mouthfeel with a sweet and refreshing taste. The tea brews into a bright yellow colored liquor which is very syrupy. It is dominated by floral notes accompanied by hints of white and pink fruits with fresh sprouted vegetables. This is an exceptional and fine spring tea
4. Gopaldhara Classic First Flush – It has a traditional Darjeeling fresh flavor with a prominent flowery character. The tea is very light on the palate with a sweet and smooth clean leather flavor. The low temperature experienced during winter has given a very well-defined smooth character to the tea. It has a very strong and prominent aftertaste that stays with you for quite some. It is a traditional Darjeeling first flush tea, something which everyone used to enjoy before the clones came up.
5. Rohini (RTD-04) Spring Regalia Silver Tips Oolong – Spring Regalia is Darjeeling’s new pure First Flush oolong teas from Rohini Tea Estate, “the youngest tea estate of Darjeeling”.  Rohini is mostly the first tea garden to produce the earliest first flush in Darjeeling. The dry leaves are dark green in appearance and consist of finely plucked whole leaves. The cup is very mellow and fruity with a light body having a fantastic spring fresh flavor. This first flush tea has a fulfilling experience that leaves behind a lingering and pleasant aftertaste with zero astringencies.
6. Darjeeling Green Gold – It is produced from high-quality green tea clones which have less tannin content than the usual Darjeeling clones resulting in zero bitterness in a freshly brewed cup. To make sure that the best flavors are brought out, only small and very fine two leaves and a bud are plucked. The teas are gently rolled so that they do not break. This allows each of them to open up in the pot when they are brewed. Unlike regular green tea, Green Gold has a slightly pleasant bitterness with a pleasing vegetal, earthy, and pine flavor.
7. Classic Green Tea – It is produced from high-quality green tea clones which have less tannin content than the usual Darjeeling clones resulting in zero bitterness in a freshly brewed cup. The teas are gently rolled so that they do not break. This allows each of them to open up in the pot when they are brewed. Unlike regular green tea, Classic Green Tea has a slightly pleasant bitterness with a pleasing vegetal, earthy, and pine flavor.
