This exceptional 2024 Darjeeling summer woody muscatel tea hails from Gopaldhara Tea Estate, crafted from ancient China bushes over 130 years old, originally planted by the British. It’s been a long time since we’ve produced a tea with this cultivar of this calibre.

This premium muscatel tea brews to a deep orange hue, reminiscent of wine, and offers a rich, sweet muscatel character with a full-bodied flavour. It boasts woody, chocolaty, toffee undertones and hints of ripe berries, presenting a well-layered and dense complexity without any astringency. If you appreciate the traditional Darjeeling muscatel teas that define the region’s reputation, you will find this tea particularly delightful.
